Update on Cottage Dreams....

We are slowly, between homeschooling and parenting :) , creating wonderful new products to upload for order at our Facebook page Cottage Dreams. I have included photos of our products so far. All of our products are handmade by Julia and myself, plus a friend who is helping in the background Irina. We are all have great fun getting together and working on our projects.

Pretty Frilly Bag: 

This is one of our new projects a pretty ruffle bag. This bag is lined and it is 13inches by 13 inches. It is a great bag for carrying handbag items, sports clothing (dance) or anything really. This one is made of calico and cotton.



This bag is for sale for $15 plus postage. These are available to order. If you prefer another colour please state and we will do our best to accommodate your preference.

Beautiful Burp Cloths:


These burp cloths are made using beautiful, soft brushed cotton and patterned cotton panel. These would be perfect as a gift or for use with your own babies. There is an option to embroider babies name on the burp cloths.


 


These can be ordered in your preferred colour. We can add ribbon to the sides of the patterned piece for added detail. These are for sale at 2 for $10 without embroidered name and $12 with embroidered name plus postage.

Pretty Ballerina tutu's


Below is Claire, Avril and Adele modelling our tutu. We can make these tutu's for different ages and in different colours and colour combinations. We can make these in stiff tulle or soft tulle.


 






When ordering these please state waist and height measurement, colour choices and whether you want stiff or soft tulle. These are for sale at $15 plus postage.

Mothers, Daughters and Dolly Aprons:


These aprons can be made in different patterns and colours. They are a reversible, half apron. These can be ordered separately or in a combo. 


 








One adult apron sells for $15. A child's apron sells for $12. A dolly apron sells for $8. A combo including mother and daughter sells for $25.  A little girl and dolly combo sells for $17. And a combo of all three is $30. Postage will need to be added.

Lots and lots of science!!!

We started our week doing a science experiment about air pressure. The challenge was to see how many books Adele could lift blowing into a balloon.

One book!!!

 Two books!!!

 Three books!!!

 Avril had a turn too!!

 And so did Josef!!

 How many books is that Adele?

 Blow hard Avril!!!

Damon finished off his other bird feeder using suet. Everyone wanted to get in and have a go :)

Our next experiment was to do with wind. The three youngest made boats and decorated sail.

 Then we headed outside to see what would happen when we blew on our sails.

On your marks....get set and GO!!!!

Our next experiment was about jet engines and how they use air to move themselves forward. Here is Adele threading a straw onto a piece of string.

We needed a balloon too.

 We stuck a balloon to the string, which was attached to two chairs tightly. We blew up the balloon and let it go!

And it flew across the string!

Adele then spent some time drawing the experiment and writing up her results.

Avril joined in too - drawing up her results :)

We had some glorious warm weather this week, so we headed to the pool with some friends.

Avril continued with her MEP maths this week. She is doing so well. I love seeing her improve from last week. I can really see she is learning.

We continued with Free Reading too. We focused on the letter A - recognising the letter and hearing its' sound.

 This week we continued to make items for our new business Cottage Dreams. Here is my friend teaching Adele how to crochet.

 And Julia measuring out our Baby chuck cloths.
